What is Rotary? Rotary International (RI) is an organization created by people who have diverse interests and a common desire to change people's lives for the better in the entire world. Rotary Clubs exist in more than 220 countries and enumerate more than 35,000 individual clubs. RI is an international Rotary Clubs Association headquartered in Evanston, USA. Each Club is an autonomous component of the Rotary structure, has its own Statute, but it is submitted to the general RI Rules. Clubs are territorially grouped into Districts and Districts into Zones. The Club members meet weekly to discuss current affairs and projects, important issues, share experiences, ideas, build friendly relationships, and simply talk to each other.
Diversity is a characteristic feature of Rotary. The very presence of members with diverse backgrounds, experiences and views allows the Club to see much more, understand the community and its problems, and find effective ways of their solution. The Rotary organization is apolitical, non-religious, and does not discriminate anybody in any of its manifestations.
What does it mean to be a Rotarian? The leading values that every Rotarian holds are honesty, diversity, service, leadership and friendship. An ethical guide for members to live by in their personal and professional relationships should be The Four-Way Test: Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? By answering these questions, everyone should evaluate their intentions and actions in terms of honesty and integrity.
Thus, Rotary aims to promote and nurture the ideals of service as the basis of decent business, the development of personal relationships, the recognition of the value of all professions, the promotion of international understanding, goodwill and peace. Rotarians’ words and actions represent Rotary, and joining Rotary means living by Rotary values.
Having become a Rotary member gives you many opportunities and access to Rotary.org resources such as the Brand Center, Discussion Groups, Grant Center, Learning Center, Rotary Club Central, Rotary Global Rewards, Rotary Ideas, Rotary Showcase.

The Club HistoryOur Club originates from Satellite RC Kyiv, created on December 27, 2019. It was initiated by Oksana Tiupa, our first President. Her purpose was to unite young energetic forces in order to achieve various professional goals. She managed to unite ambitious people interested not only in the development of their own businesses, but also in the improvement of Ukrainian society in general. Club members collaborated to promote business ideas, startups, expand their communications (other than business). As the number of like-minded people gradually increased, more and more people joined us. And now the Club has grown from Satellite to a fully-fledged Rotary Club Kyiv International at the end of 2019. We celebrate our birthday on December 27th.
